Hi,
I’m writing a small document with Writer that also contains a Calc spreadsheet
embedded as an OLE object linked to the file.
I can’t open this object from Writer to modify or update it.
A right-click on the object doesn’t provide any direct options, so I go through
the menu **Edit > External Links…**. No effects...
I restarted Writer several times with no effect on the problem.
Before reporting this issue, I switched LibreOffice to English and rechecked
whether the problem still existed: the problem disappeared.
With LibreOffice in English, you can click on the object, which switches to
edit mode, and then modify it without any issue. Similarly, the **Update**
function in the external links management also works.
I switched LibreOffice back to French and now it works!!!
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create an simple sheet with Calc
2.Create a simple document with writer
3.Import the sheet in the document as an OLE object linked to a file
4.To test external links > update : Modify the sheet from Calc and save it
Actual Results:
Sheet is correctly inserted and displayed in the document
double-click on the object has no effect
update link through external links management has no effect
Expected Results:
double-click on the object is in edit mode
update link through external links management should update the contents
Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
