A few corrections:

- LO detects data corruption and therefore offers to repair it.

- This corruption likely stems from the last successful backup.
- I partially resolved the issue by opening my file, performing the suggested
repair, and then removing the link to the spreadsheet: the file was then able
to be saved.

- So the problem originates from the OLE link to the spreadsheet.

- Another issue: In my tests to verify that the problem wasn't caused by
GDRIVE, I copied my folder to the Windows desktop and retested. Once GDRIVE was
ruled out as the likely source of the problem, I deleted this folder and
performed further tests on the original version. I couldn't reopen my file
because the link to the spreadsheet was no longer correct: LO insisted on the
spreadsheet from the folder on the desktop that I had deleted. I may have made
a mistake somewhere, but it's surprising that a file can no longer be opened if
an external link cannot be resolved. Other software would offer to update this
link instead of stopping.
