I have tried this with my original do plus two more (simpler) docs created for
testing (one in the Flatpak version, one in the Debian version). They all show
the problem as originally reported above.

> you need to respect the order of the fields I have chosen

I have clicked things in the print dialog in the precise order you suggested,
to no avail. Problem persists.

On a side note, if the exact same settings yield wildly different prints, if
arrived at by clicking things in another order, well, then that's a bug too.

I have uploaded the PDFs resulting from Print to file.

The one marked PASS is a scale-to-fit print, that can be taken as a baseline
showing the test document. It has blue boxes in the top/bottom/left/right
corners (inside margins). They are connected to make it easy to judge how
printed pages fit (or not). Middle box has system info.

The FAIL ones, where the A3 Portrait drawing is spread over multiple A4
Landscape pages, show the problem as it appears on my system. In general, there
are four pages instead of the expected two, the top two pages have the top
corner boxes cut, while the lower pages have a huge bottom margin. The middle
section of the drawing is missing entirely.

Finally, the FAIL PDF with the A3P fitted to A4L is not directly related to my
original problem report, but show that scale-to-fit doesn't work either. This
may help in diagnosing the problem.
