--- Comment #3 from Ian Jarvis <[email protected]> ---
1) regarding shortcut keys 'ctrl+[' and 'ctrl+]'
ie increase paragraph indent and decrease paragraph indent
    Neither has ever worked.
I tried reassigning those but t still would not wortk
I took into my own hands and assigned 'ctrl+{' and 'ctrl+}' which works.

2) When copying a page of text from an internet document, it often comes into
LibreOffice Writer with many soft newlines. To make it easier to read and for
use in another document, eg as a quote, I want to strip out those soft newline
characters.
Using MS Word I can do this quickly by using the edit + find/replace function
with the two character string ^l ie carat followed by letter lowercase 'L' for
the find string.
Similarly, if I want to remove all the hard newlines, i use ^p ie carat
followed by lowercase 'p'. No space in either.
Note: the carat character is shift+6
More and more as I (and others) take quotes from websites I run into this issue
and the only other way is to do it manually one by one - laborious and slow. So
I keep an old copy of MSWord7 just for this purpose. I have never seen this use
in any manual or document. It comes from the days when programmers knew all the
hex values for every character.
Can LibreOffice provide this facility please?

Thank you, I hope now that I have explained it sufficiently well I can
demonstrate either or both, with a technician or maybe using a recording via
zoom.
