--- Comment #16 from Gerd Herrmann <[email protected]> ---
...just as a remark to the status "Resolved": YES, I can understand the
viewpoint of Arabic, Persian etc. language users that these formulas etc. are,
perhaps, not interfering with the use of e.g. English or Spanish language
users, and that they are needed because of the specifics (e.g. "right to left")
of the methods of creating formulas.

BUT: I find NOT A SINGLE WORD about any of this in the documentation,
specifically the "Math Guide 24.8". Wouldn`t it be considerate to introduce
this to the average user of these features (which we don`t call "bug" anymore)?

AND: I confess that I don`t know anything about the programming code of Libre
Office, but in my naive view of things I do believe that users, maybe
independent of their UI language, could easy enough set a flag in e.g. Math to
decide what kind of symbols, formulas etc. they would like to use.
And it could very well be implemented with a simple (multiple choice) drop-box
where you can select your specific needs, thus deciding then internally what to
show in the sidebar.
