Sarah's testing is not exactly as you say:

4. Create a new sectin with one column before
5. Move the table to the new section

So I tested your steps. I noticed that if you just create a new section before
deleting the old one, *it will be created inside the old one*. So the problem
can not be corrected that way. When I selected the table, cut, and then deleted
the section on page 7, I was able to recreate the correct layout.

You can observe the Navigator in the Sidebar and look at the section list, when
you work.
