            Bug ID: 169737
Summary: bad by design: assigning a table style apply direct
                    formatting of the table content
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Assigning a table style applies direct formatting to the table's contents,
which is in direct conflict with proper document editing principles.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. You have defined a style for the table content. And you have a table.
2. Now you open the table styles panel and assign a style to the table, for
example Academic.

Actual Results:
The text inside the table is reformatted using direct formatting and therefore
ignores your defined style.

Expected Results:
Text inside a table is not formatted with direct formatting.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This is completely pointless and goes against the principles of using styles.
You must then select the table and remove the direct formatting with the
keyboard shortcut Ctrl+M, otherwise you risk future problems. If you do not do
this, it will prevent you from subsequently editing the table content
uniformly.
