            Bug ID: 169749
Summary: Writer freeze and forced termination resets user
                    profile
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
It happened to me for the second time already after clean 25.8 installation.
While saving a document (200 pages, .doc format, register changes turned on - a
lot of changes) Writer freezes and crashes. I've encountered that behavior
before, there is something not right on the interface between LO and
WritingTool extension. Usually a forced app termination solved the issue.
However, for a second time in a month or so such freeze/forced termination
combo reset my user profile to zero. Next time I open any LO app it starts from
the very beginning with tips, toolbars/keyboard default setup, settings reset
to default and so on.

Is there any way I can investigate what's happening?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Somehow freeze Writer
2. Force app termination via task manager

Actual Results:
Writer is terminated. When opened again, user profiles resets to default.

Expected Results:
Writer is terminated. When opened again it loads the current user profile.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes
