My steps are: - in a new presentation in Impress, add a shape, - add animation to the shape, - under Options, add sound, - save as PPT, close, and open and play in PowerPoint. To reproduce, perform these steps from scratch, don't rely on the attached sample, which just shows current state in 26.2. Note that when reopened and played in Impress, the sound plays (not in 26.2 on Windows, because of bug 169697, but in 25.8 it does).
