I was able to find more recent LibreOffice AppImage to try this out. You guys are correct, this must have been fixed already at some point in a newer version. I confirm this issue appears to be fixed. Thank you all for testing this out and bringing to my awareness that this issue was fixed. Also thank you to the developer(s) that fixed this issue.
