I followed the request to reproduce the issue using content copied from an HTML file opened in a web browser. I generated the same type of multi-page table via ChatGPT, exported it to an HTML file, opened it in a browser, selected all content, and pasted it into LibreOffice Writer. I then applied the same formatting steps as described in the original report (setting borders for all cells and disabling “Allow rows to break across pages”). Results: Stable version (25.8.3.2): a noticeable freeze occurred for about 5 seconds after applying the table formatting. Writer recovered afterwards, but the UI was temporarily unresponsive. Beta version (26.2.0.0.alpha1+): no freeze occurred; the operation completed smoothly and instantly.
