          Hardware: All
                OS: All

Example document for testing Nup print

Open attached document. It contains 4 pages of size width=8cm and height=5cm
filled with dummy text.
Try to print it so that all 4 pages are printed on one A4 sheet of paper in
landscape, so that the document pages are not scaled up.

For to do so:
Open print dialog. In Page Layout section select Paper size A4 and Orientation
Landscape.
Open Pages per Sheet section. In drop-down list Pages per sheet select item
Custom. Now you should have got fields Pages...by..., Margin and Distance and a
checkbox "Draw a border".
Set Pages to 2 by 2 and check "Draw a border".
Enter 10mm into field "Distance".

A pager sheet A4 landscape has size width=297mm and height=210mm. Thus the
effective printable area on the paper is now of size width= 279mm and
height=190mm.

Try to set the Margin field so, that the document pages are not scaled up. That
would require for the vertical direction 190mm - 2*50mm = 90mm and for the
horizontal direction 279mm - 2*80mm = 119mm. Thus a value of 90mm in the Margin
field should result in 4 document pages in original size. Problem: The Margin
field is restricted to 30mm here without any reason.

Because of the restriction of the Margin field the four document pages are
scaled up.

BTW, bug 169560 contains the request to improve the print dialog so, that the
user can determine the scaling factor.
