BUG REPORT: LibreOffice Calc Hang on First Decimal Separator Input After Boot
(Windows 11)
Summary:
LibreOffice Calc freezes for 2-3 seconds only upon the FIRST press of the
decimal separator key (.) after a cold computer boot. Subsequent uses of the
key are fine. The issue is unique to Calc (Writer/Notepad are unaffected).
Trigger:
The hang occurs EXACTLY when the decimal separator key is pressed for the first
time after a cold boot, regardless of how long the file has been open or how
many other keys have been pressed.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS PERFORMED (Issue Persisted After All Steps):

1. PROFILE & CORE CHECKS (Ruled Out Corruption):
- Performed a full manual User Profile Reset (renaming the user folder).
- Launched Calc in Safe Mode (issue still occurred).
- Manually deleted core Calc configuration files (calc.xcu, etc.).
- Disabled Load LibreOffice during system start-up.
- Disabled Use a Java runtime environment (JRE).
2. INPUT & CALCULATION FEATURES (Ruled Out Calc-Specific Lag):
- **CRUCIAL TEST:** Unchecked the Numpad override feature in Language Settings
(Decimal key on the numpad: Same as locale setting).
- Reset Separators Settings (Calc > Formula).
- Disabled AutoInput (Autocomplete for cell text).
- Disabled AutoCorrect While Typing.
- Disabled OpenCL (Confirmed "OpenCL is not used").
- Disabled multi-threaded calculation.
3. GRAPHICS & DRIVERS (Ruled Out Rendering/Driver Conflict):
- Disabled Use hardware acceleration.
- Disabled Use Skia for all rendering (forcing software rendering).
- Confirmed ALL relevant drivers are on the LATEST MANUFACTURER-PROVIDED

4. OPERATING SYSTEM (OS) HOOKS & SERVICES:
- Disabled Windows Fast Startup.
- Disabled Clipboard History and Suggested Actions.
- Disabled the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service.
- Set the system default printer to Microsoft Print to PDF.
- Unchecked Load printer settings with the document.
