Bug ID: 170070
Summary: In docx format, shadow applied to table vanishes after
the file is saved, closed, and re-opened.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In docx format, shadow applied to table vanishes after the file is saved,
closed, and re-opened.
This happens in safe moe also.
However, if the same file is saved as odt, the shadow is not affected when the
saved file is re-opened.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a small file with a single table cell (simplest case)
2. Select Table properties and apply shadow.
3. Save the file as docx and close.
4. re-open the file. The shadow disappears.
5. Repeat the same sequence in safe mode.
The re-opened file retains the shadow.
6. Repeat steps 1-3, but save as odt.
7. Re-open the file in Normal mode (not in safe mode).
The shadow remains intact.
Conclusion:
The shadow disappears when the docx file is saved in Normal mode.
It remains intact when the file is saved as odt.
It also remains intact if Writer is used in Safe mode.
