--- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> ---
IIUC Windows is not crashing, but you have had to restart Windows to clear a
hung LibreOffice process? If that is the case, you should be able to use the
Windows "Task manager" (<Ctrl>+<Shift>+<Esc>)

--From the 'Details' panel locate the application named 'soffice.bin'

--Right mouse click for context menu, and select the 'End process tree'.

That should clear the hung process without needing to restart Windows.

Next we need to understand what part of LibreOffice is locking up your system.
For starters, we need some operating system and resource details.

Please use the copy button on the 'Help -> About LibreOffice' and paste those
details.

Also, please check your system graphics drivers, and check if you have Vulkan
rendering and post those details, like this:

--1. Go to LibreOffice 'Tools' -> 'Options' -> 'View' panel and select the
'Copy skia log' button. Paste that result here.

--2. Open a command window and attempt to run 'vulkaninfo'.
results (may not as some graphics drivers don't include the utility)
there will be a stanza at about a third of the way into the listing
and copy/paste the dozen lines starting:

      Device Properties and Extensions"
      GPU0
      VkPhysicalDeviceProperties:

Please get us that info to start so we know what hardware and Windows build
you' are working with.
