Bug ID: 170130
Summary: Hidden paragraphs don't interact properly with "keep
with" next paragraph
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.2.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If generating a sequence where there is a hidden paragraph with a keyword for
the outline (with keep with next paragraph), then a visible paragraph using
that outline level variable to make it visible, and be used as a header, and
also using keep with next paragraph to keep the header with the content. And
then a footer using the outline level variable which detects the problem, that
the hidden paragraph isn't kept with next paragraph.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create styles for 4 paragraph types,
1A. hidden paragraph with outline level 9 (or any level, consistent through all
these styles), keep with next paragraph
1B. visible paragraph with content being the outline level 9, keep with next
paragraph
1C. data paragraph style, visible
1D. Footer using outline level 9 as content
2. Create a sequence of paragraphs of style 1A, 1B, 1C on a page including the
footer, but with different content for each 1A paragraph. Fill a page with
such a sequence, so that it overlaps onto an additional page.
3. Adjust one of the paragraphs on the first page adding one line at a time,
and watch the footer value change. And sadly, observe that the footer value
doesn't change when style 1B moves to the next page, but rather when the
previous visible line pushes style 1A to the next page, rather than 1A being
kept with style 1B as it should be, but apparently isn't, speculatively because
keep with isn't properly processed for hidden paragraphs.
Actual Results:
style 1A isn't kept on the same page as the following style 1B.
Expected Results:
style 1A should be kept with on the same page as the following style 1B
Reproducible: Always
