Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #9 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> --- I believe Elementary is the icon theme where icons are the most discernable from each other, and for which it is the easiest, on average, to figure out the command the icon stands for. This compared to other themes which are more muted, or have finer, i.e. smaller, details requiring more concentration, or being monochromatic (and thus usually more challenging to decipher). If we had Dark mode variant of Elementary, that would be a great benefit to users. It might be a good candidate to be the default theme, with GTK3/GTK4 and maybe other VCL's, alongside Elementary Light mode. Unfortunately, in Dark mode, effective use of color like in Elementary is more challenging, if at all possible. So, it would be quite the effort to make this happen. I have absolutely no complaint here, I'm extremely appreciate of Rizal's work (and, I understand, initial work by people from the ElementaryOS project); and of course there is no obligation on anyone in particular to undertake the Dark mode variant. But I definitely support this happening. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
