Important to check: what if you initiate the click+drag without the Alt key and
only press down Alt when you are already dragging?

I tested now with KDE, changing from the default Meta key to Alt in System
Settings - Window Behavior - Window Actions and for me there is no problem, if
I do the dragging like I mentioned.
