Bug ID: 170376
Summary: Drop Caps shows characters that are a hidden character
style
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Drop Caps does not seem to respect when an applied character style is "Hidden".
I applied a character style that has the "hidden" characteristic to the first
few characters of paragraphs. The "hidden" characters show up when Drop Caps is
applied to the paragraph style.
In the example file: Paragraphs style "Body Text". Character Style
"VerseNumber"
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Add a different character style to the first few letters of a paragraph.
2.Give the character style the "hidden" characteristic.
3.Give the paragraph style the "Drop Caps" characteristic. (I use one
character, 2 lines)
Actual Results:
The first "hidden" character shows up as a Drop Cap.
Expected Results:
The hidden chaaracters remain hidden and the first non-hidden character is
shown as a Drop Cap.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
