Bug ID: 170426
Summary: Docs refer to non-existent "Points Icon" in Drawing
Toolbar
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Description:
https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/guide/round_corner.html
says
"When you insert a rectangle or a callout box using the drawing functions and
activate the Points icon on the Drawing toolbar, you see a small frame at the
upper left corner of the object. "
First of all, please, please show a picture of any icons the instructions say
to press. It is really tedious to have to hover over every inscrutable icon to
discover it's name.
In this case, I hovered over every icon in the Drawing Toolbar and none of them
claimed to be "Points" or anything similar. Is "Points" really in the Drawing
Toolbar or somewhere else??
Note that by "Drawing Toolbar" I mean the toolbar which appears when you do
View->Toolbars and check "Drawing". Attached is a screenshot of the Drawing
Toolbar as it appears in LO 25.8.4.2 and I can not find an "Points" icon it it.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. View->Edit check "Drawing" (Drawing Toolbar appears in left panel)
2. Click the Rectangle icon
3. Draw a rectangle. While the rectangle is still selected...
4. Look for a "Points" icon in the Drawing Toolbar
Actual Results:
The only icons in the Drawing Toolbar are (from top-to-bottom):
Select, Line Color, Fill Color, Insert Line, Rectangle, Ellipse,
Lines & Arrows, Curves & Polygons, Basic Shapes, Block Arrows, Flowchart,
Callout shapes, Stars & Banners, 3D Objects.
Expected Results:
.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
