To summarize the comments: - LO is equipped with brilliant macro facilities, well maintained - LO had tutorials on writing macros, these no longer work - it may be dangerous to encourage ignorant people to write macros, these are best left to the experts. This last item is awfully similar to the Microsoft attitude of "No User Serviceable Parts Inside", aka "We know what you need, shut up and use it." I HUMBLY REQUEST A RETHINK! I built my first computer in 1976 (around a MC6800 chip), have used Libre Office since it started as Open Office around 2003. I have NEVER met anyone who can write macros in Libre Office or Open Office. We need encouragement. If LO users start writing macros, that might increase its reputation and popularity?
