--- Comment #13 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> ---
Confirm with the specific steps of OP

Working in the Stylist <F11> and while modify/apply of adjustments to the Font
Effects -> Font Color for the PS.

Making successive color picks *and apply* for font color in the PS does not
add/fully record each pick into the Document colors palette. So even though
*applied* (and the style updated to document canvas) it seems only a preview.

With the PS dialog remaining open on the Font Effects tab, a subsequent Font
Color -> Custom color picker launch does not use the just applied color,
instead the picker opens with the color that was in place when the PS was
opened (as recorded to the Document colors palette).

Only when, after applying the color pick, the Font Effects dialog is OK'd and
closed does the Document color get recorded and then the color picker widget
opens with that color. Requiring opening and closing the PS editing.

The use case is the use the color picker to preview successive font color
adjustments to a PS *without* need to OK out and close of the PS -> Font Effect
dialog. Rather it should remain open and each call of the color picker update
with the last color.

Also, note this is a bit different use case to DF modification of a word,
sentence or full paragraph. There the Color picker opens initially with the
Font color of the assigned PS, but each new color is added to the Document
colors palette immediately and while adjusting DF color of that selection the
color picker tracks with each successive color opening with that color.

So issue remains while modifying Font Effect -> Font Color of a PS as noted in
comment 1.
