Dude.

11 years and still no fix in sight?

"I think that this feature is really important." (see below)

It's obvious, that this ain't an enhancement, but a real bug of a very
interrupting nature (and definitely not 'new').

The indicators are:

"It can get really difficult to maintain clean conditions."
"I don't know if it must be so or not" (sporadic/unclear behavior triggers)
"In my case however, I'm pretty sure that I don't do this - if I copy and paste
then only the raw contents in a cell, not the whole cell itself"

It's worse yet, since there ain't any useful functions helping to clean up,
after formatting entries have been messed-up.

Version here is 25.2.3.2 (AARCH64) and the bug's still alive and well:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165559#c4

Sorry for being sarcastic, but someone should actually address this issue for
good, instead of waiting another 5+x years, for more incoming reports, to be
closed as 'duplicate'.

The very least (and actually very useful in any case) improvement to expect,
would be a 'Clone' entry function in the conditional formatting manager, maybe
also separate 'Unite' and 'Split' functions, that'll actually give users back
the control and maintainability over the conditional format rules, they need.
