Bug ID: 170635
Summary: Highlighted text background colour is not full text
height if paragraph line spacing is Leading V26 but
not V25
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Highlighted text background colour is not full text height if paragraph line
spacing is Leading (eg 0.07 cm / 2 point). OK if line spacing is Proportional
(eg 110%).
See screenshot of Writer https://i.postimg.cc/dVvkPgwT/Image1.png
This bug was introduced in V26.2.0 and was not present in V25.8.4.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. I create a new document and define the paragraph (explicitly or as a Style)
to have line spacing as Leading 0.07 cm (about 2 points): right-click on
paragraph, Paragraph, Paragraph, Indents and Spacing tab.
2. I select some text and define Character Highlight Colour (button in top
button bar).
3. The highlighting is a narrow strip at the baseline of the text instead of
occupying the full cap-height including descenders of the font.
4. If instead the paragraph's line spacing is Proportional (eg 110%), the
highlighting is displayed correctly.
5. This bug was introduced in V26.2.0 and was not present in V25.8.4.
Actual Results:
Screenshot of Writer: https://i.postimg.cc/dVvkPgwT/Image1.png - "Leading" line
Expected Results:
Screenshot of Writer: https://i.postimg.cc/dVvkPgwT/Image1.png - "Proportional"
line
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
I wonder if this bug was introduced when feature "Writer now takes line spacing
into account for field shadings. In this way, bottom of some letters (e.g. "Ç",
"ş", "g", "p") will not be cut off because of the "field shadings" background
layer. (Bayram Çiçek, Collabora) tdf#167527" was added (text from Release
Notes).
Bug present on Windows 10 V26 and not present on Windows 10 V25 or Windows 7
V25.
