Bug ID: 170661
Summary: Writer - Toggle unordered list command on Home menu -
unable to edit format
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
The settings for the Unordered List accessed through the Home menus are not
linked to any default template or style setting. I am unable to find any way
of editing the default settings for this command. Editing in the template is
ignored.
It would be useful for this menu item to be linked to the current template.
The workaround is to use a Style and ignore the Unordered List toggle menu
item.
The new tabbed menu (26.2) lacks the utility of the Styles drop down menu.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit unordered list in default Writer template (position, indent, image
etc). Levels 1 and 2 will suffice.
2. Save template.
3. Open new Writer document and use Menu/Toggle Unordered List to insert bullet
point. Repeat with increased indent.
4. Compare result with template edits.
Actual Results:
Hidden default settings overwrite the default style settings.
Expected Results:
There should be some way to save the settings that the menu item implements
from the template. There's a lot of posts on various forums about the lists.
One post I saw said the settings were in the main app and not user accessible.
Reproducible: Always
