            Bug ID: 170673
Summary: When dragging the application window to the edge of
the screen to trigger automatic resizing
(snap‑to‑edge), the software enters an endless lag
                    loop.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When dragging the application window to the edge of the screen to trigger
automatic resizing (snap‑to‑edge), the software enters an endless lag loop.

I open LibreOffice. Then I click and hold the title bar (or any draggable area)
to drag the window to the left/right/top edge of the screen until the OS shows
the snap‑resize preview. Finally I release the mouse button to let the window
snap to the edge.

Expected Behavior:
The window should snap to the screen edge and resize instantly, as usual.

Actual Behavior:
After releasing the window, the application becomes unresponsive and
continuously lags, never completing the resize operation.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the application.
2.Click and hold the title bar (or any draggable area) and drag the window to
the left/right/top edge of the screen until the OS shows the snap‑resize
preview.
3.Release the mouse button to let the window snap to the edge.

Actual Results:
After releasing the window, the application becomes unresponsive and
continuously lags, never completing the resize operation.

Expected Results:
The window should snap to the screen edge and resize instantly, as usual.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I am using macOS Tahoe 26.2 with an Apple M2 chip. I have been using
LibreOffice 26.2.0 since 07 February 2026 (the date I first downloaded
LibreOffice), and the problem has occurred ever since.

The only workaround I’ve found so far is to force‑quit the application, reopen
it, and hope I don’t instinctively repeat the same action again.

The problem occurs on any LibreOffice page — whether a document is open or
you’re just on the home screen.
