Advanced Framework to manage words in the Dictionary
This issue describes multiple components of this framework. It provides the
greater overview. I will add separate issues for the individual functions.
1. Export New Words
- Users can add new words to a dictionary;
- Functionality to export these words so that they can be reused somewhere
else;
- Upload New Words to BugZilla for easy updates to the various dictionaries;
2. Multiple Dictionaries
- e.g. en-Default, en-Scientific, en-Medical, etc;
- Specialised dictionaries include also words common in those fields (and rare
otherwise);
- Command: Add new word to Special Dict;
- Possibility to aggregate dictionaries, e.g. en-General + en-Medical +
en-Medical-Immunology;
3. Cleanup of Default en Dictionary
- it contains many archaic words and terms unlikely to be used in a scientific
or business report;
- move those words to an en-Linguistic dictionary;
4. Abbreviations
- Generate list of abbreviations for a document;
- Use the list during spell checking;
5. Other issues of possible interest:
