            Bug ID: 170733
           Summary: AutoCorrect arrow replacement (-> → →) persists in
                    existing documents even when AutoCorrect is disabled
                    and system/user autocorr files are removed.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Disabling AutoCorrect globally and locally does not prevent arrow replacement
in existing documents. Steps to reproduce:

    Disable AutoCorrect “While Typing” and all options in Tools → AutoCorrect →
AutoCorrect Options.

    Remove or rename all acor_xx.dat files from both /usr/share/autocorr/ and
~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/autocorr/.

    Open an existing document created with earlier versions/settings.

    Type ->. It is replaced with →.

    Create a new blank document and type ->. No replacement occurs.

    Copy text from the old document into the new one. The replacement behavior
reappears in the new file.

    In Safe Mode, the replacement does not occur at all.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Disable AutoCorrect “While Typing” and all options in Tools → AutoCorrect →
AutoCorrect Options.
2.Open an existing document created with earlier versions/settings.
3.Type ->.

Observe that it is still replaced with →.

Actual Results:
Type ->.

Observe that it is still replaced with →.

Expected Results:
->

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
    Arrow replacement (-> → →) continues in old documents and contaminates new
documents via copy‑paste, despite AutoCorrect being disabled globally and
locally.

    Safe Mode and brand‑new documents behave correctly (no replacement).
