Bug ID: 170742
Summary: Editing formula in Calc cell removes coloured
highlighting of cells that are referred to
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
You can have a cell with a formula that refers to multiple other cells, e.g.
=A2+B4+C3+SUM(D1:D5)
If you click into this cell to edit it, A2, B4, C3 and the group D1:D5 all get
highlighted in distinct colours, and these are included in the formula bar also
so it's easy to identify what is what.
However, editing the formula at all causes all of this highlighting to
completely disappear until the formula is saved and then re-edited. This is
extremely annoying in situations where (as I do) you have to edit the same
formula to add or remove multiple component cells.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a formula that refers to multiple cells.
2. Click into the cell to edit the formula.
3. Edit the formula.
Actual Results:
All cell highlighting disappears.
Expected Results:
The cell highlighting stays present and updates to match the current formula in
the cell.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
