--- Comment #23 from [email protected] --- Platform: macOS 15.7.4 Observed behaviour: 1. Row and column headers cannot be dragged to reorder rows or columns. 2. Dragging cell data is possible, but this does not allow structural reordering of entire rows or columns. Some forum replies suggest using Alt/Option-drag to move rows or columns. On macOS, this does not work reliably (or at all) in my experience, and in any case the behaviour is undocumented and non-discoverable (I cannot speak to behaviour on Windows). Why this is a problem: Without header-based drag reordering, users must rely on cut/insert or modifier-key behaviour inside cells, which increases friction and the risk of accidental data overwrites. Note: 1. This issue highlights a distinct UX gap around structural reordering of entire rows and columns via header drag. 2. Bug 58440 addresses a related topic, but primarily concerns dragging cell data and modifier-key behaviour. 3. A concrete example of expected header-based drag behaviour is already illustrated in an attached demo referenced earlier in comment 22. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
