Only certain types are permitted. When that failed, I tried the more simple SUMIF, which my 'named range' broke as well. Perhaps the SUMIFS page needs to have more detail. I'd say it's plain wrong if that were not rude. Anyway, my initial problem was my ignorance. Has been all my life. Continues to be.
