--- Comment #6 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> ---
Bug still manifests with:

Version: 26.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64)
Build ID: 73a558942d519bd72ef8fb8891ceae559654cd6a
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

However - I am only somewhat certain that this is undersirable behavior. The
metaphor the current behavior adheres to is that:

1. Overwriting is the same as deleting, then writing.
2. When the cursor is between a character with style CS1 and a next character
CS2, typed characters will use CS1 rather than CS2.

I would say that (2.) is an acceptable choice generally, and the problem is
with (1.), or in applying (2.) when overwriting, when we expect (or should
expect?) a different logic.
