the case of prefix space character before the diacritics
if the diacritics are written with a previous Libre Writer then the UI will
show prefix space character but there isn't a space character that can be
operated/edited.
if the diacritics are written with the targeted Libre writer version then the
UI will show a leading space by placing the cursor at distance equal with a
space character.
