            Bug ID: 170890
Summary: DOCX Import: Floating + Nested Tables Overlap and
Collapse in Writer (Tables displayed correctly in MS
                    Word)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Opening the attached DOCX file in LibreOffice Writer results in table layout
corruption, including:

*Overlapping tables
*Compressed or collapsed rows
*Misaligned inner tables
*Content shifting over other tables
*Multi‑page tables breaking incorrectly

The same DOCX file displays properly in Microsoft Word, so this appears to be a
LibreOffice DOCX import/layout issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the attached SampleFile.docx in LibreOffice Writer.
2.Scroll through page 1 and page 2.
3.Observe overlapping and collapsed tables.
4.Open the same file in Microsoft Word → layout is correct.

Actual Results:
Multiple tables overlap each other
Inner tables shift outside their cells
Tables collapse vertically
Some rows overlay other rows
Layout breaks further across pages

Expected Results:
The DOCX should render identically to MS Word, with:

No table overlap
Correct nested table placement
Proper row heights
Proper multi‑page table splitting
Floating tables positioned without collision (per Word behaviour)

Reproducible: Always
