Bug ID: 170893
Summary: Libre Write - Data Loss in Labels template HCI
interaction
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
In the Write application version detailed at the end of this text, the Labels
text box looses the data that the user has entered, if the user unchecks and
then rechecks the "Address" check box - not so nice.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Write
2.Click on File - New - Labels
3.Select the label template type from the drop down. and then begin to enter
the text that you wish to appear on your labels.
4.In the checked "Address" check box, click on it to uncheck it - OK that the
text disappears, but...
5.Recheck the "Address" checkbox to go back to the text that you were working
on, but that text is no longer present, and there seems to be no way to undo
this data loss
Actual Results:
Text that was entered into the multiline text box is lost, and there is no way
to restore it - CTRL Z / undo does not undo this data loss. If the user had
been for warned that ant data that was entered would be lost, then that would
be better than the current situation, or if the dta was stored in a variable
and then restored back into the text box when the "Address" check box was
rechecked after no changes had been made to the content of the multiline text
box, then that would be better again.
Anyway, I leave that to wiser people than I :)
Expected Results:
After toggl;ing thet checked status of th e"Address" checkbox, the data in the
multiline text box would not be lost - that is it would still be there.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
