Bug ID: 170912
Summary: Cannot resaving Calc files, after editing them, onto a
Synology drive, the file.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.0.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I have files saved on a Synology server (DiskStation Manager 7.2.2-72806).
Either:
- If a Calc file is opened (from LibreOffice), edited and saved, when the
file is reopened it is read only.
- If a Calc file is opened and saved multiple times an error message
appears.
Both outcomes appear to be due to the same problem
There is not a problem if the file being worked on is on the C: Drive.
I have uninstalled 26.2.0.3 and installed 25.8.5.2 and the problem does not
exist.
I have not tried any other of the modules, e.g. Writer.
Steps to Reproduce:
A1. Create a new Calc file, or use existing one - on networked drive.
A2. Make changes to Calc file.
A3. Save file.
A4. Close the file.
A5. Reopen the file.
B1. Create a new Calc file, or use existing one - on networked drive.
B2. Make changes to Calc file.
B3. Save file.
B4. Make more changes and save.
Actual Results:
Process A, the file opens as read only.
For process B, an error message "Error saving the document Card Value Check 1:
Object not accessible." is displayed.
Expected Results:
In process A, the file should open as editable.
For process B, the file should save and the dot on the disk(save) icon to
disappear.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Looking at the directory, the files are stored, there are two problems than
have been noticed. The file is being saved as Read Only by LibreOffice. The
lock files. e.g. ".~lock.Card Value Check - Copy.ods#" are not being removed
when the file or LibreOffice is closed.
Many thanks.
