Bug ID: 170945
Summary: [Writer] [EDITING] Pressing `End` twice on a line
"long" line without spaces split over several lines
moves the cursor at the end of the next line
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Pressing `End` twice on a line "long" line without spaces split over several
lines moves the cursor at the end of the next line instead of at the end of
that line.
Steps to Reproduce:
As a convenience, I attached a document with a "long" line that's split over 2
lines ("ThisIsAVeryLongLine,ItDoesn'tContain" and "AnySpace"). I'm referring to
this document in the following steps.
1. Open the bug example document
2. Find the line "ThisIsAVeryLongLine,ItDoesn'tContain"
3. Place the cursor on that line
4. Press the `End` key to move the cursor at the end of the line
5. Press the `End` key once again
Actual Results:
The cursor is now at the end of the next line (i.e. "AnySpace").
Expected Results:
The cursor should be at the end of the current line (i.e.
"ThisIsAVeryLongLine,ItDoesn'tContain"), like it's normally the case when
pressing the `end` key twice in a row.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
