            Bug ID: 170990
Summary: [FEATURE REQUEST] or [QUESTION] Can LibreOffice Online
be made compatible with a home server?
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Can LibreOffice Online be made compatible with a home server? It shouldn't
function as a cloud service. It should be able to run on the home server
without requiring a Nextcloud-like intermediary. This way, all family members
can access my home server remotely and create their own documents. They can
also connect via Android phones and use LibreOffice. Each person would have
their own user profile. No one's documents, files, configurations, or settings
would mix with anyone else's. Can it work this way?
Actually, if the LibreOffice program is installed directly on the home server,
would it meet all our needs? Or would settings, configurations, documents, and
files mix together? Can only one person use it at a time?

Can it be adapted for small-screen, touch-enabled devices like Android phones
and tablets? Can it support all devices?
When connecting to the homeserver from Windows, Linux, etc. PCs and laptops,
the Linux version of LibreOffice runs because the homeserver runs on one of the
Linux distributions.
LibreOffice Online also runs on Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Debian, etc.
However, when Android and other mobile devices connect to the home server, if
the applications run on Linux, they will run in desktop mode, making them
unusable on mobile devices.
Additionally, it is necessary to develop a customized, optimized PWA for mobile
devices. Or it is necessary to develop an apk application using Node.js.

I have no knowledge about LibreOffice and LibreOffice Online. That's why I
asked questions. If you need to answer my questions with “no” or “not
suitable,” please consider that question as a Development Request.
In other words, if the feature I mentioned is not available, consider those
features as development requests.
Best regards.
