Priority: medium
Bug ID: 67376
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILEOPEN: Open spreadsheet takes 30 seconds to open
and view.
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.4.2 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Problem description: From Windows Explorer, select a ods document to open, then
takes 30 seconds to view/open. Using WinXP SP3 (32bit), AMD Athlon 64 X2
6000+, 4GB RAM, 120GB HardDrive Partition (using 58GB, 62GB free); Avast Free,
Comodo Firewall Plus Defence+, System Explorer 4.0, NVidia GE Force
7050PV/nForce 630a - driver version 307.90; I do not have any MS Office product
on my pc. Use Firefox 22 & Thunderbird 17; DSL internet 12MB; use network HP
printers attached to a Win7 SP1 pc; no printers attached; only a ScanSnap S510
Fujitsu scanner attached to this WinXP pc.
Steps to reproduce:
1. ....Open any spreadsheet or writer file; ods, odt, or odf. Docs are from
18kb to 100kb in size; not very large.
2. ....Takes 30 seconds to view/open.
3. ....Have uninstalled & reinstalled LibreOffice several times; Run CCleaner
4.x to clear old files & clean/repair registry; reboot, reinstall, etc.
Current behavior: same behavior several times. takes 30 seconds to view/open
odf documents.
Expected behavior: should open/view documents in a few seconds; guessing no
more than 5 seconds.
I can send pc logs if you like; just let me know how to save/generate and I can
send to you. Thanks for such a great product. I have been using since
OpenOffice 1.1; for several years now. I prefer LibreOffice much more over
OpenOffice.
