--- Comment #3 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2) > The highlight blue is defined by default via system setting (and looks much > better on KDE/Breeze). Using a different color Neither of the options I suggested involve using the same highlighting but with a different color. However - that is not an inconceivable third option, if you consider the Writer selection color - which is not deep blue, but pale blue. Not exactly sure how that would work out, but it is a third possibility. > "the inner white bar", this is the actual preview with the actual area, > highlight, and font colors. That's not technically true, since Writer styles typically don't specify a white-color background (= area); they have no-background. But it is also _materially_ not true, because when an item is selected, the preview could very well show what content in the selected style would look like when it's _selected_. And when you select text in writer, the background is not deep blue. > It has been requested in bug 169763 to remove the outer white space > and clear name, which will automatically result in a frame-only indicator > for the selected item. While that is a possible outcome of a reworking of the gallery, it is not the only outcome. If that were to happen, then we could probably close this bug; but let's not count our eggs before they are hatched. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
