I can confirm this issue. It is a regression of usage from 7.4. I think that
the gray non-breaking setting should be separated from Formatting Marks
display. I have the habit to use the gray mark for this non-breaking spaces
only always, but sometimes only I show all the Formattings Marks. So this new
behaviour is annoying for me.
