    Thank you for your response.
    Until shortly before the time I wrote you, if I edited an existing file or
opened a new file and saved it, I could find it under "RECENTLY USED" for at
least a few days (or maybe a few weeks?) because it was indeed recently used.
    Then, for some reason, if I edited an existing file or opened a new file
and saved it, I could not find it under "RECENTLY USED" even though just a few
hours, or a day, or a few days had passed since I edited or opened it.
    That is, for some reason, recently used files are not always turning up
under the heading "RECENTLY USED" in the column headed "PLACES." Sometimes they
do turn up there (as expected) and sometimes they do not (as unexpected).

    Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm sorry I didn't understand your description. Could you please explain steps
to reproduce the problem? Please also supply more informations:
- OS
- LO version used
- Is that still happen on latest stable release? Then mark this UNCONFIRMED
