Bug ID: 171060
Summary: Select all to copy and paste label pages not working
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Creating label sheets with more than one page is problematic.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Here is how I proceed:
1. Open the label template (with the Synchronize Content option enabled)
2. Edit menu > Change Database (for verification purposes).
3. Press fnF4 to call up the databases > select the database.
4. Select a recipient (the line turns blue).
5. Click on Data in the fields.
All labels contain the same recipient.
6. Click at the end of the last field of the first label.
7. cmd⌘+fn+F2 > Field Window > Database Tab > Next Record > Choose the database
> Insert > Close
8. Click Synchronize Labels
9. In the database, choose the recipients > Data in Fields
10. The first page of labels (the only one visible) is filled in with the names
of the first recipients
11. cmd⌘+A (2 or 3 times) to select the sheet, which will be reversed.
12. cmd⌘+C to copy
13. cmd⌘+V (paste) as many times as necessary to increase the number of pages
where all the labels corresponding to the recipients will be visible.
14. Click on Data in the fields to see all the labels with the names of all the
recipients. The number of pages is displayed at the bottom left of the status
bar.
Actual Results:
Works on OpenOffice but on LibreOffice, I get stuck at step 11.
Whether I use the Select All command (Cmd+A) or the Edit > Select All menu,
only one label is selected and no more.
Expected Results:
When the number of labels exceeds one page, selecting “Copy and paste” should
allow you to fill in the following pages.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
