Bug ID: 171187
Summary: Built-in formulas in Writer tables seem not working
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.1.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I'm having troubles to use built-in formulae into tables in LibreOffice Writer…
'Round' and its related formulae (rounddown and roundup) don't work at all!
Whenever I try to enter those formulae as per their syntax "= formula (
[number/expression] ; argument ) ", I've got only the error message, ** erro de
expressão ** (Portuguese translation to "syntax error"), but there's no
available help where I can verify which is the correct syntax… All references
I've got from Internet (including those from LibreOffice Help page itself)
feature formula syntax as used in LibreOffice Calc, what I initially assumed it
would be the same in Writer…
Maybe that isn't a bug, however it is, definitively, a point for improvements
in next releases. I'd like to suggest including a warning text specifying to
users which formulae are supported in Writer and their correct syntax, in order
to avoid situations as per described and all distress they cause.
