            Bug ID: 171214
Summary: Existing documents show up blank, but have a character
                    and word count >1
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Many existing Write documents come up with no visible text. Sometimes this can
be resolved by doing a ctrl+a then selecting Ariel as the font (default comes
up as Liberation Serif). This does not work in all documents. Sometimes I can
do this from the menu bar, other times I must go the character dialogue (r
click, character, character, then select Arial). But this does not work on all
documents. In document with tables, I often have to select a row or cell and
perform this action on each one. This is not consistent across files and it
does not happen on all files. Some are fixed by going into Safe Mode, but not
all.

This all started with the latest upgrade to 26.2.1.2

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open file (either from Total Commander or from Open File within Writer
2.
3.

Actual Results:
You see no text, but photos appear if applicable, and tables may appear if they
exist, although there is no visible text in them.

Expected Results:
I would expect to see the words that were there.

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Opened the file and let me view (as in actually read) the document
