            Bug ID: 171234
Summary: Spelling/Grammar wavy underlines are too dark and
nearly invisible on Dark Document background
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Hi,
When using a dark document background (enabled via Tools > Options > Apparence
> Dark Theme), the wavy underlines for spelling mistakes and grammar errors
appear significantly darker than the colors I defined in the application
settings. As a result, these underlines are extremely difficult to see against
the dark background. There is also no option to increase the thickness of these
underlines, which would greatly help with visibility. Users should be able to:
(1) have the underline color respected as defined, and (2) optionally increase
the underline thickness for better readability.
Thank you

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable the default dark theme document background
2.Type a word with a deliberate spelling mistake.
3.Observe the red wavy underline under the misspelled word.

Actual Results:
The wavy underline color is rendered much darker than the color configured in
Options, making it nearly invisible against the dark background. No option
exists to increase underline thickness.

Expected Results:
The wavy underline should use the exact color defined in the settings, with
sufficient contrast against the document background. An option to increase
underline thickness should be available for accessibility purposes.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
This is a significant accessibility and usability issue for users who prefer or
require dark document backgrounds. A workaround does not currently exist within
the application settings.
