            Bug ID: 171284
Summary: LibreOffice Writer 26.2.1.2 Scale Width value other
                    than 100% makes text unreadable
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
LibreOffice Writer 26.2.1.2 (2026-02-23) Scale Width value other than 100%
makes text unreadable. Text drastically overlaps (beginning at about 97%),
making text unreadable. This behavior did NOT occur with earlier version
25.2.4.3 (2025-06-06) and earlier. Previous versions of LibreOffice Writer did
NOT cause text to overlap when specifying values other than 100% for Scale
Width. Be advised that Scale Width is NOT the same as Character Spacing!

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create any temporary Paragraph Style or Character Style.
2. In style's Position tab, change value for Scale Width to any value other
than 100%. Bug behavior becomes evident with values of 97% or less.
3. Click OK button.
4. Apply style to text.

Actual Results:
Bug behavior stated in Description field occurs.

Expected Results:
Width of characters should have narrowed (or widened) in accordance with the
percentage value specified for Scale Width (values less than 100% should narrow
each character's width, and values more than 100% should widen each character's
width), all WITHOUT causing any of the characters to overlap.

Reproducible: Always
