            Bug ID: 171343
Summary: Incorrect resolution of bug 169751. Deleting tabs at
start of paragraph should not be default setting
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
Tab at the beginning of a paragraph is deleted when ENTER is pressed at the end
of a paragraph is default behavior.
I have seen some justification that seems to apply to writing code. I no longer
write code, but I do write essays. Even if the compiler does not require indent
to be compiled, the humans that read the code do require indent. For human
readability of code or essays, indent is essential. If the user wants to get
rid of the indents, there is an option buried in:
Tools->AutoCorrect->AutoCorrect Options->Delete Spaces and tabs at beginning
and end of a paragraph
The default should be to keep tabs at the start of a paragraph -AS IT AS ALWAYS
BEEN. Don't go changing things that people are very accustom to. The QWERTY
keyboard is a classic example of a bad interface that cannot be changed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type: <TAB> Some text <ENTER>
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Document contains: Some text <ENTER>

Expected Results:
Document should contain: <TAB> Some text <ENTER>

This should be the default result.

Reproducible: Always
