            Bug ID: 171365
Summary: Editing issue with Writer when using font width
                    scaling
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When I use the font width scale in the “Character” dialog box and set it to 98%
instead of the default setting (100%), I can no longer edit the text block
properly. Strange things happen...

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select a paragraph
2.Opens the “Characters” dialog box
3.Change the width scale (e.g., 98%)
4. Save it, then try editing the text—you'll see, it won't work properly
anymore

Actual Results:
changes to the relevant text become inconsistent

Expected Results:
Text that has been edited for consistency

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I often use Writer for small-scale desktop publishing; the “width scaling”
feature always worked well until the previous version of LibreOffice Writer.
