            Bug ID: 171409
Summary: LibreOffice Writer Doesn't Break Lines at Slashes
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 25.8.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
If you use slashes (e.g. to specify different versions of the same place-name),
LibreOffice Writer treats the combination as one very long word, which breaks
line-wrapping.

A proposed workaround is to manually add zero-width spaces, but that assumes
you aren't editing successive revisions, editing for different layouts, etc.

I think it should, by default, be willing to insert line breaks between words
linked by slashes, just like with dashes.

Steps to Reproduce:
Type a word/word pair where a line ends.

Actual Results:
The pair ends up in the next line, sometimes leaving a long dent in the
previous line, or terrible kerning.

Expected Results:
The pair should split, just like with dashes.

Reproducible: Always
